Project Description

The Yellowstone Centre was my first commercial project.  Creating eye-catching entrances at the two parking entries, using ornamental grasses, and perennials for seasonal colour and year round texture.  I created a native seed mix for the  “Back 40”, staying away from the high maintenance and water requirements of a Kentucky bluegrass lawn.  Beth saw grouse living within this meadow years later.

Beth used drip irrigation for the planting beds, and a temporary irrigation system to establish the native meadow after seeding.

In 2006, the Bozeman Beautification Advisory Board awarded the Yellowstone Centre with the Sustainable Landscape award.
